I think this may be my new favorite party dish. Cheeseballs are so easy to make and are my go-to appetizer for the holidays and parties. I wanted to make a quick snack to take to a family dinner last night and was short on time. I had crackers and cream cheese in the fridge, but nothing else to make my regular savory cheeseball, so I checked the pantry for what I did have and found figs, honey, and walnuts. Staples that I usually do have available. And just like that, a new apptizer was born. I hope you find this as easy to make and as delectable as I did.

Honey Walnut Fig Cheeseball

  1. 1 block of cream cheese (I used Greek Yogurt cream cheese)
  2. 6 figs, finely chopped, stems removed
  3. 2 T. honey, plus some for drizzling
  4. 1/2 C. walnuts, chopped
  1. Combine the first two ingredients by kneading together with your hands.
  2. Flatten the mixture and start forming it into a ball
  3. Before it's completely formed, leave some room in the middle to pour the honey in and form the rest of the ball around the core of honey
  4. Roll in chopped walnuts
  5. Refrigerate for at least an hour to overnight
  6. Drizzle with honey before serving
  7. Serve with crackers
  1. If you don't want to make a honey "core", just mix the honey in with the figs and cream cheese, then roll in walnuts!
